playback on Android pauses 25 secas into songs

Postby jensk » Sat Jan 02, 2016 8:19 pm

I have an installation of Subsonic 5.3 on Debian Wheezy that has been running well for several years. I am primarily using it for serving music on our android phones while away from home. My music consists mainly of .flac files.

I have a little anouing thing about subsonic that keeps comming back. The first time a choose a complete album to sync and play on an android phone the download process starts and shortly after the music starts playing on the phone. After 25 sec's of playing the music pauses for abount 15 sec's. Allthrough the download of music continues in the background.
I can se that there is plenty of music downloaded so it's not a matter of tha player running out of downloaded music.
This happens only the first time i want tio play the album - aka while it is downloaded.
The next time playing when the album is already downloaded there is no pausing.
This happens on alle the familys different android phones with many different versions of android.
Is there a way to remedy this?

I seem to recall you have to use the -vn flag to the transcoding options in order to fix it. I forgot the exact cause and reasoning, since it must've been 2014 or so when I encountered this issue myself.
