Subsonic - Mapped Network Drive

Hello,
I am using the Beta version of the server. I have a lifetime license

Platform: Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit VM on Hyper-V
RAM: 6 GB

Alright I followed the instructions in the Getting started Page to add the admin account in the "Services" section of windows. I reset the subsonic service.
I then logon to subsonic and try to add a share network folder into subsonic and it cannot find the folder.

In addition when I sign into subsonic - after adding the service account it logs me off after like 30 seconds which is odd. I am just simply clicking around in the admin console and I get logged off. In order to stop that from happening I have to take out the service account in "Services" and reset the subsonic service.

So any advice on how to get subsonic to see Windows Shared Network folders. I have a mapped network drive with the folder in there.

Thank You

I'm pretty sure the Subsonic servlet only runs with LOCALMACHINE privileges. You would likely need to modify the Subsonic service account. Try the following page: http://monroeworld.com/android/subsonic/ and scroll down to the section titled Permissions to remote folders.

Hi,
When I was setting up my Subsonic-server using network-shares the first time I ran into the same problems.
I tried to solve the problem by running the Subsonic service as administrator.
But that wasn't enough.
I still got errors trying to add networkfolders. Finally I made sure that the administrator-account which runs the subsonic-service has also has explicit rights to read and write on all the networkshares that Subsonic needs to access.
That did it for me.
So perhaps the account you are using to run the subsonic-service might not have the required rights to acces your shares?

I will go ahead and try these options when I get home.

I need to make a separate thread for another issue. Not really an issue actually

Well I tried what " toolman" recommended and I can now add network drives to subsonic.

Thank You very much for the help
