Subsonic Forum

hi everyone,

i've just setup subsonic on my computer, i really enjoy the UI.
Now i'm looking for to find the way how to manage multiple player, create group of player.

I explain,

i've multiple smartphone and tablett at home, some are connected to bluetooth speaker.
- So i'd like to sync every player to play the same song in the whole home,
- Start a music from the web player to play music on the speaker connected to my pc, shutdown pc, leave home and listen the music on my smartphone
- or start a music on the tablet in the living and go the bedroom, stop the livingroom player and continu in the bedroom
...

I use to ue squeezebox and this way is possible.

Such a feature is something I am planning on adding to my new versions of SubFire, but probably won't be done for at least another month or two. Starting over with a brand new codebase means lots of time taken up just getting back to what the first version had before adding new features.

But no, Subsonic does not do that out-of-the-box. And syncing across devices attempting to play at the same time will never be perfect given the combinations of network lag and each client's own buffering system. Moving from one room to another you'll find they're off by a few seconds. No way to fix that, really.
