How to view a high quality video by browser?

I'd like to view some movies on my subsonic website, but I find that the movies are down-sampled, and I cannot find any options to change resolution or something related.

Could someone tell me how to view a original quality video just by browser?

I would like to know this too. I have been a subsonic premium user for almost 10 years and before version 6.0 I had the option to change the bitrate of the video playback and was able to enjoy very good streaming quality. This however has changed since version 6.0 where I only have an option to "optimize for streaming" essentially if i have 40 video files I have to transcode them into a new folder and waste storage space, without improving the stream.
