connecting to nas

Postby tsawyer » Tue May 18, 2021 6:01 pm

I'm running subsonic on a raspberry pi and trying to connect to a nas for music. the nas is another pi running samba to share music out to all my rune boxes. what I'd like to do it see if there is an option to point subsonic to the samba share. the next question would be how to configure. I did not see something that looked like an area to enter credentials to authenticate to the share. I did not enter \\192.168.1.5\share to start the process. if that's the correct place, I'd appreciate any information on all this.

if there is not an option I could mount a usb drive in the /etc/fstab and point to the folder but my goal was to create a lab (teaching new users skills in linux/networking), document it all as well as have 1 point of source material to manage. if I point to the nas, I only have to update there. if there is no option to point to a nas/windows share I'll live with managing 2 locations.
