More seriously, I use subsonic for now about 6months and its a great webapp.

is there a way to use it for other kind of files, to be able to index .txt for exemple???

If no, do u know some app which index/search automatically like subsonic but for other type of files??

Yes its possible just add the extensions to the music mask setting.

Assuming people can download files from your subsonic settings they can then download the files using the download button.
