Android app - first thoughts

Hey;

First of all - I'm back using subsonic after a year or two. A few nice changes got introduced and I like it even more. Then I noticed an Android app, that works pretty smooth on my hero.
Still a few thought I'd like to share. Maybe some of them could be addressed in the upcoming version. Thanks for reading ;)

1. Downloading vs. caching - confused
I haven't figured out yet what's the difference between tracks that are downloaded automatically upon playing a full album versus tracks downloaded upon particular request? I noticed both are being transcoded and actually streamed to a device.

2. Caching queue - where is it?
I'm wondering if it wouldn't be useful to have a single place to see tracks queued to be downloaded. Right now you need to seek the exact folder to see the progress and you can't actually stop or pause it. That leads to errors when you get disconnected.

3. Green and yellow asterisk - confused
So a yellow asterisk means a track was cached / transcoded. And a green one?

4. No way to exit the app (but to kill it)
I simple "Exit" option would be really welcome to quit the app and stop downloading. Today, when the connection is lost, there's no other way of getting rid of the error notifications, but to use a task manager and kill subsonic on your phone. Not that much handy.

Other than that - it works ;)
Thanks and regards;

One more question.

Any particular reason for adding "completed" extension to media files cached on a phone? Some other programs could play the cached files as well if the original extension was preserved ;)

Cheers.

Good suggestions. If I may add a couple more ideas:

-- A "Most Recent" or "Newest" button/icon on the main screen.

-- Add a "Quick Shuffle" button/icon on the main screen. (good for driving when you can't dig deeper into the UI but are desperate for music)

-- Not sure if it's possible or not but it'd be nice to have the local music catalog available for playback within the Subsonic app also. The stock Android media player is pretty bad so I'd be happy to use Subsonic exclusively.

And of course thanks to the developer(s) for Subsonic. It's a fantastic platform. The depth of options and overall fit & finish is impressive. I'm really surprised it hasn't got more recognition from the community. It's much better than some of the other streaming options out there. Easier to setup, easier to configure, easier to upgrade, looks nicer, more features, etc. My other suggestion is to add a re-occurring donation for those of us who want to support the project but are also very lazy.

Long-click on album name should allow you to play it or enqueue it.
