Does this index my library?

I just started using this software and I've been looking all over - does it index all the tags on my music and build a library? Or am I expected to sort all my music as Artist\Album\Song.mp3?

Well there is both of it:

The music tree / structure is built of your folder structure (ex: artist/album/mp3) but the songs are displayed by their Tags like - Title / artist / year etc. - if there are no tags, it will take the filename - and you will also find em with these tags on the search function.

Ouch, are there any addons to get around this? I kind of like to keep my music library sorted in a certain way and keep it like that, hehe

No addons, sorry, but if you explain how your collection is organized we might suggest a way configure it in Subsonic.

Download Source \ Genre OR Date I received the albums, depending on source \ Scene release style folder names \ 01-song_name.mp3 (varies)

As you can see I usually depend on software for indexing all the tags rather than me dealing with the actual files. Is it possible to even index when your library has folders with both the artist and album in the name?

Subsonic is still really nice (I have a second copy of more specific music for iTunes sorted in the way Subsonic can read it). I was just hoping it built a nice DB for browsing big randomly sorted libraries of music. Hoping for a future upgrade I guess :)

Might it be possible to let users tie into our Foobar2000 database? (Playlists too would be nice, seeing as it has the option already, but just doesn't recognize the .fpl files.)

Ok, I was hoping that you had perhaps one folder per genre or something, in which case you could have added each (root) folder to Subsonic - but if you have more than 20-30 folders this becomes impractical.

Sorry, I don't have any plans to support tag-based structure, nor Foobar200 integration.
