4.4.beta1 (build 2132) Now Playing username doesn't change

Never had this problem until upgrading to 4.4.beta1 (build 2132). The username listed on the right in the now playing section only lists one user. I have two different users playing different songs using different configured players, and it says they're both one username.

I just tested on my server connecting through desktop and android phone at same time. Both show properly. I see users come and go on my public site all the time.

Just noticed while testing, the Android player shows what's currently being downloaded to the phone, not what's actually playing at the moment. Makes sense.

Here I am logged in with my admin account.

And here at the same time is a user logged into the normal user "music" account. Whatever they listen to shows up as the "hella" admin account on the right.

Definitely whacked. I've not seen that before. You could try deleting and recreating the accounts, but the problem could be deeper. You might also want to include your OS information so that those more familiar with that install might be able to help.

Mind telling how you get the screen capture into the post?

Thanks,

Sorry I can't be of more help. On Windows Server a reinstall only takes a few minutes and usually fixes all anomalies.

I will try recreating the accounts and see if that works. I'm using Server 2008 R2 to host subsonic. To get the screenshots into the post I just used imgur.com to host the pictures, then use the [img][/img] tags to insert them into the post.

Had to delete the user accounts, then remove the players, then recreate the accounts and have each user login and setup new players for them. Then had to restart subsonic. Now it's working fine again. Weird.

Some time I see the same issue on my serer... After server restart problem disappear. My be this is a interaction between cookies and player settings "Player has dynamic IP address". I understand function of this options. What is a difference of log-in and connections if I checked or unchecked this options?

That's the last feature of Subsonic that I haven't fully experimented with yet. In that Subsonic automatically asigns you a new player if you login from a different ip address, it seems the only purpose is to allow you to select a previously defined player associated with your username. If you logged in from an external internet connection over a new ip then any player that has the Dynamic IP address box unchecked would deny use by the user.

Or am I missing something?
