Hey guys

I'm trying to stream video to my android phone.
Even though I have 2.2 it doesn't seem to support flash.

Frankly I'd rather use a local player anyways. Is this possible?

What changes are necessary?

thanks

android 2.2 does support flash. Just install the flash player.

well, the flash player is local. Why can't you install it? If you want to be totally local, download the video that you want to see onto your phone and then play it with the builtin media player.

Because Flash requires not only 2.2+ but an ARM v7 Cortex or better. That means there are a bunch of phones out there with Froyo or Gingerbread that can't run Flash. I know because I'm in that boat and was looking for an answer to bluenote's question. I'm trying to avoid copying files to the SD card; if I were up to doing that I would have spent my money on a larger SD card instead of a Subsonic contribution.

So ... any other options besides Flash for Subsonic video streaming?

Native X264 streaming (like with VLC Stream & Convert) would be awesome. Any plans for something like that?
