I just wonder if somebody has come across this error message trying to access subsonic in WHS

I have configured my port forwarding manually using port 8080 and 440 for ssl.

I have seem this problem two times this week.
I sorted it by disabling ssl port forwarding 440 in my router and
enabling again, then it works

Also I have discovered that the best way to do the port forwarding is by
using UPnP or NAT-PMP port forwarding in the network tab and so I have done it to see if I don't get error again

But I just wonder why is this error happening?

Does any one know?

This ERROR happen when trying to connect to my server which use ssl port 443

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.xxxx.myhphome.com.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

When you use SSL without installing a valid certificate from a known vendor you will get a warning that you are connecting to a site over SSL that does not have a trusted security certificate. This is normal behavior and does not in any way affect the SSL connection to your site. You could purchase a certificate from a known source such as Go Daddy, but there isn't any need to. Save the money, click Proceed anyway, and enjoy SS.

Gary,

I'm afraid we are not talking about the same error message. The error message you are saying is normal but the one I was getting when connecting to my server was a different error message

It is working fine now. As a mentioned before I have removed the port forwarding for port 440 from my router and I used UPNP from subsonic general tab to configure my port forwarding

Thanks for your reply :D
