Strange, some mp3 files ss play, some not: "Error playing ...". These are files that Amarok an Mplayer play like a charm. I checked for permissions etc. Nothing remarkeble. Is it a codec thing?

Anyone a clue?

Me too, most folders play fine, but I have one folder with 5 mp3 files, each around the 44 minute mark, only one of the files would play in the subsonic client, I re-encoded the mp3 files, at a lower bitrate (48k), they were 80k and still the exact same mp3 file that worked before was the only one that played.

Yes they play fine in vlc and media player.

I dont know what to try, is there a maximum duration or something?

My server is Windows XP media centre, running
Subsonic 4.4 (build 2172)

The client is an android tablet, running the latest client.

No strange characters in file names.

Oddly, I've noticed that the server can play these fine in the Subsonic web interface!

I assume then that there is some problem, possibly in the transcoding of the files.

I am not familiar with the ffmpeg or lame commands and dont want to start fiddling with them.

Thanks
