Subsonic Got Broke....

Postby marjamar » Mon Oct 10, 2011 12:32 pm

I've been trying Subsonic on my WHS2011 computer to stream content to my Android phone. It was working (marginally - choppy) for a couple of weeks, but trying it yesterday, it's not working now.

I've not changed anything on the phone or my server, so I kinda wonder if perhaps an update to Subsonic caused this problem (it updated a week or so ago I believe).

Anyone else seeing anything like this?

No, not registered. It's only been on for 2 weeks and said there were days left so didn't think that was the problem. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled it, now it works again.

On a side note...

This android phone I have doesn't allow adobe flash installs, not the right processor I guess. So, I have to use certain web browser as a go between to see flash content. What this means is, I access my server via subsonic from my android phone, then load the content I wish to view using this web browser. It accepts the stream, resends it using html 5 to my web browser, from which I can view the video.

It's not a real workable solution as there is a real bottleneck in there somewhere and I only get about 5-8 fps video. Not too fun to watch...

Anyway, it's working as it did before. With this low fps however, I suppose I'll not continue it past the trial.

Thanks.
