Is there some setting that is restricting my video transcoding to be a lot slower on the internet then it is when I'm at home?
for example, my connection is 50mbps down, 20mbps up, when I'm at home, I can easily get 3000Kbps from subsonic while watching a video, but I can't get the same speeds while I'm anywhere else, neither can my friends...
Connection isn't an issue because my friends connections are at least 20mbps down, which should easily be able to catch up with subsonic transcoding.
it's not a hard drive or server issue because I've been able to send files to friends and it easily maxes out my speed (1.7Mb/s - 1.8Mb/s)
the only thing I can think of is maybe something in the coding that's not allowing full speeds. I also noticed when someone downloads a file direct from my subsonic that it won't max my bandwidth, except it goes at 1000Kbps still.
Any ideas? it's been bothering me forever. my transcoding is limited to 1000Kbps max on externalplayer.jsp - even if I set it at 2500-3000 it doesn't change anything
