Android Remote Control questions

First, let me congratulate you on adding this feature. It's really amazing and has the potential to completely take over how I control my music.

Now, there is only one thing standing in the way of that happening, and I wanted to check if there's a way to solve it already.

It appears that a new audio stream is started/stopped for each track. The effect is that there is a click/slight pause between each track. In some situations this detracts significantly.

What I did before Subsonic RC was use a Winamp remote controller on Android. Its search and interface are certainly inferior to Subsonic, but at least I know that once it's populated the Winamp playlist it's going to playback perfectly (highest bitrate, no glitches). As I said, my hope and dream is to be able to use Subsonic for this exclusively, so I'm hoping it's either possible to address this through configuration, or it can be kept in mind for future releases.

Thanks so much for the amazing product!
Dave

The remote control feature is definitely awesome, but I get the 'click' sound when a new song loads as well, and it is a little distracting. I might personally be able to get used to the noise, but this feature would be great for parties and the click might get annoying to other people.

bump

i'm also very interested to hear of any development on this problem. like dcaputo, it is the only thing that keeps me from exclusively using the remote app.
