Automatically "Pin" music to sdcard (android app)

Hey all,

I had trouble finding and answer to this using the search function, if it already exists I apologize.

My question: I am annoyed at having to manually "pin" each album/artist in the Android app; I was wondering if I could just copy all my music to my sdcard on my Android phone (ie to /sdcard/subsonic/music) and force the subsonic app to recognize it? I tried doing it with one song but the subsonic app didn't notice it; I'm not sure if there's a particular format I'm supposed to follow, or if I have to force the app to re-index itself, or something.
