Hi
I'm using my own local subsonic server, with an android client. But the client has trial period (since my host is not registered). While both server and client are open source.
I like to donate, but I'm living in a country that I can't pay (no international paying account).
So what should I do to? Should I compile the android client from source code?

To remove the trial period check, you need to grab the Subsonic server code, remove the 30 days limit and recompile. You're free to change the program to fit your own needs according to the GPL.

Might I suggest you send Sindre an e-mail to clarify your situation?
Perhaps he has other ways for you to pay him for his work and get a license-key.

Hmm!
On March 17, 2010, PayPal entered into an agreement with China UnionPay (CUP), China's bankcard association, to allow Chinese consumers to use PayPal to shop online. PayPal is planning to expand its workforce in Asia to 2,000 by the end of the year 2010

I'm in Iran, not China.
I'll try recompiling server code. Thanks.
