Sorry, this happens if the server is not connected to the internet. This bug will be fixed in Subsonic 3.8.

I only get version 3.6 working on freenas version 4 won't start.
Is this a known problem?

I couldn't get 4.0 to work either, 3.9 works fine though. The iPhone doesn't seem to care, but the Android app work let you connect because of the older version.

Hi,

I'm trying to install subsonic 4.0.1 on freenas 7.2.
I can't have access to my_ip:4040 after install and my log returns just one line:

'Unable to access jarfile subsonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies.jar'

What's wrong ? or missing ... !

'll try with 3.9.

thx

*I already posted this in Talderon's How-To. I'm just desperate so I'm posting it here as well.*

I put some time and thought in to this and gave it a 2nd try without being such an idiot. It appeared as if I had navigated the instructions the 2nd time around and all was well. However, after having rebooted the freenas box, I couldn't get to the subsonic web gui. I went straight to the error log and found this:

Error: could not find libjava.so
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.

what did i screw up? I'm clueless. If I try any of the package adds again they fail (and it seems to be because they are already installed). If I run them without the "-r" I get the message "package (insert package here) or its older version is already installed"

I follow this tutorial, but I have this in my error log :
Code: Select all
/usr/local/diablo-jre1.6.0/bin/java: 2: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
Subsonic starts but quit immediately...

Have you an idea ?

Thanks...

running freenas off usb stick

Postby wnaBsd8d » Sun Mar 13, 2011 7:18 am

I understand that this is for a full installation of freenas however would it be possible to install subsonic on freenas embedded system if you somehow extended the image to make use of the whole usb?

For example, i have a 4GB usb stick with freenas embedded installed on it... from my understanding since the image is only 64mb? or whatever size it happenes to be ...that therefore leaves several GBs not being utilised..

would there be some way to increase the size of the image to accomodate the whole drive thereby allowing subsonic to be installed on the usb drive containing the freenas OS?

Thanks in advance

Please feel free to correct me if i have said anything that is wrong :D
