Hello, I hope someone can help me, I have recently changed the os on my server to Ubuntu which is great, but Subsonic is now being a bitch!, I want to be able to access my music remotely i have forwarded port 80 on my router and changed the port setting in /etc/default/subsonic

but I still cant access it from the my work office, I can only see it locally, I know the service is run as root, but I cant seem to get round that either. Any suggestions? as I am now starting to pull my hair out! :-)

Thanks

James

Its ok I've sorted accessing it through the internet, I had the HTTPS and the HTTP Port on at the same time. however I still would like help on how to stop root from running the subsonic service? any thoughts?

first I looked at:
/etc/init.d/subsonic

It directed me to look at:

/etc/default/subsonic
where you can change the "SUBSONIC_USER=<youruser>" that you want the service to run under.

I'm on ubuntu server 14.04.3 LTS
