No playing ... just download?

Hello,
I have just installed the most currently available version of Subsonic on a server running Ubuntu 16.04. I would like to restrict my users to downloading videos rather than playing them directly from my server. I created a test user, checked the "download" button and unchecked the "play" button, but when I login as that user (with another browser) and select a video, it still plays. Is it possible to remove this ability completely? I am also in the first day of the trial period so all premium features are available. Thanks

GS

Plain and simmple: No, you can't remove the possibility of playing any media, since Subsonic is intended as a mediaserver and not as a means to distribute audio and video-files.
You can read this on the About Subsonic page:
Please note that Subsonic is not a tool for illegal distribution of copyrighted material.
If you want to share your videos you'd be better off running a FTP-server and even than users can choose if they want to download or open ( and play) the videofile unless you compress them with a program like 7zip.
