Wrong Username or Password

Hi Sindre,
Did not come far - and now I do not know how to continue.
1. Installed on XP
2. Changed the localhost thing to port 888 and music folder
3. When I try to open the localhost thing I need to log in
4. I try to log in first time as admin admin - got the Wrong Username
5. Uninstalled, reinstalled - same things

It complained about security - you need to get yourself a new user etc...
did not know what to make out of that - i am behind a hw firewall.

Any suggestions - perhaps use this forum username /password

Thanks - need it for my brandnew Nexus

Yes, I am having the same problems... install, uninstall and still can not attain the role of administrator. Was I born on the wrong side of the tracks? Thanks in advance for answers to this. It seems like a basic question, it has been answered a couple times in the forum but although I have tried to follow these answers I still am a humble servant with no ability to administer.

You could try the following:

1. Stop the Subsonic server
2. Delete c:\subsonic
3. Start the Subsonic server
4. Log on with username "admin" and password "admin".

Hope this helps

Any chance you could answer this same question/same issue...only with regards to the Mac platform?

Please and thanks.

In case anyone to come is wondering the answer, it looks like this is the solution. For some reason these very same files don't pull up in a Spotlight search.

Hi Joel,

You can reset the Subsonic database (including the users/passwords) by deleting the /Library/Application Support/Subsonic/db folder. Just make sure to stop the Subsonic server while you delete it.

Hope this helps!
Sindre

HI,
I also immediately got a message of wrong password. But I can't find any file for subsonic in my /Library/Application Support.
Any other solution?
thanks, Christy

Be sure you're looking in your main HD library directory, /Library/Application Support, and not your user directory, /Users/*user name*/Library/Application Support. :)
