Set share video stream quality

I'm trying to make a simple mod to change the video stream quality inside the share page (externalPlayer) however i can't seem to figure out how to do it?

I should be able to just set

maxBitRate = 2000

or whatever before the init function? but it doesn't seem to edit it at all.

Am i missing something? it seems like it should be so easy to do! Any help would be super apreciated, i did google around and theres a few pages about but just people talking about it, not how its implemented.
