Which media player/manager for macOS?

I'm new to Subsonic - was invited by a friend - but before i dive into the details of the software, i have an important question.

Which media player/manager do you recommend for macOS, which also capable of customizing ID3 tags and the like. I would be satisfied with a simple player like Foobar/WinAmp. It would be great, if file naming can be automated with ID3 tags.

iTunes is not an option, it is getting worse with every release. For my video collection i already moved to Plex.

Mediamonkey was my favorite once, but a native Mac client is still in development.

Hi.

I use MusicBrainz Picard (http://picard.musicbrainz.org/) for managing my music (available for Linux, Mac and Windows), it is awsome, but it is not a media player. Also I've heard good coments about Yate Music Tagger (https://2manyrobots.com/yate/) , it is specifically designed for Mac.

And what do you use as an audio player?

Another question: Do you have an iPhone? If yes, how do you sync music without iTunes? Most players i have found for Mac don't offer integrated sync with my iPhone. For example, Swinsian does look very simple and great, but lacks syncing capabilites.

I use the subsonic Interface for playing audio.

I don't have an iPhone but my friends use iSub or avsub for connecting and syncing to subsonic.

Another question: Can one of the mentioned apps also change folder names according to ID3 information?

In general, i am also looking for a tagging app, that can change not only file but also folder names based on ID3. I want to rebuild my folder structure as well.

After a brief conversation with the developer i found out, that Yara is also capable of renaming folders.
