Isub stopped working for me under iOS 8 so I tried carsub. It's got a wonderful clean interface and is a pleasure to use. Some missing features but it's in active development and more than usable. Hope this helps anyone trying to hunt down an iPhone app that works!

Thanks for the info. I just installed subsonic rcently (if it works as I expect Google will stop receiving my money every month) and I plant to install it on my girlfriend iPhone so good to know.
It's a shame that there are not subsonic free apps for iphone but as long as it works good it would be worth..

I haven't tried out CarSub yet, but I can confirm that iSub works just fine in iOS8 - I'm using it as I type!
There was a window of a few weeks right after iOS8 came out when it didn't work, but the developer returned to the project long enough to do a compatibility update, and now all is well.
It's hard to wrap my mind around it, but iSub is still by far the best, most feature-rich iOS app available, even without active development...
