On the Chrome and Web platform, the autoplay function is not there yet (it will on 0.7.1), but now the ability to browse can be turned on (see the link at the bottom of the config panel). This is entirely a BETA feature and is not 100% stable yet. Once selected, you will see the indexes after clicking a folder (the shuffle feature is an icon in the upper right corner). You can play a folder (and everything below it, similar to the android app) by hitting the play triangle, or browse into the folder by clicking anywhere else. Once you hit a song, clicking it will automatically play. When cover art is available, a thumbnail will show.
Known issues of browse mode (or why it is still beta)
- Playing a single song doesn't keep playing. It kinda stalls.
- The 'back button' doesn't always cause a proper refresh of the list (or sometimes it shows that it is refreshing the wrong list). When you finally get back to the indexes page, things are ok, but while browsing subfolders, it isn't as responsive as I'd like.
- The zooming of the selected element (necessary for the FireTV version) sometimes means that the play triangle will bounce outside of where the mouse click happened. I intend to fix this by turning off that zoom for the web version, in 0.7.1.
As far as I have read, nobody should be having any problems talking to an https server, unless perhaps it is on a self-signed cert and they are using Chrome for the client. Just enter https instead of http in the config page. There is no need to try to load the player page itself on an https connection - your connection to your server will still be secure.
Thank you for your support and patience,
Joe
