iSub and AVSub for iOS 8.x on iPad and iPhone

Best I can tell iSub and AVSub (formally CarSub) are the two best apps? I'm new to all this.

The screenshots of iSub do not show art. True? Website demo movie does but the site is admittedly old.

AVSub looks great and is a couple $$ less but there's no progress bar.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Another question: Does iSub do Airplay or not? Hard to tell from comments.

Hi,

iSub will do AirPlay.

I agree that iSub and AVSub are the best subsonic clients at the moment.
AVSub being the only one actively developed of the two; iSub has been semi-abandoned for a couple of years, only getting much needed updates to support iOS 8 and the new iPhones.

/M.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and bought both. I still haven't decided on which to use. I much prefer the folder listing of iSub. The AVSub is considering it. My main gripe with iSub is (for me at least) it does not update the folder list when the database has been updated. The only way is to delete the app and re-setup the server.

Just pull the folder list down to refresh it.

I prefer iSub but I live in fear of the day it ceases to be compatible with iOS updates.
Avsub is still a bit buggy. I have trouble accessing my main music folder which is just called "music". No idea why. I haven't gotten around to reporting it because I use iSub all the time.

ISub's really great. I cache most of my music while at home and rarely use it for streaming. It works fine with AirPlay. Gapless playback with MP3 isn't perfect (I hear a little scratch often between seamless tracks). But on the whole it's been my main music player for 4 years.
