Apple Watch app anyone? (hint, hint ... play:Sub)

Postby timlance » Tue Jun 20, 2017 10:50 pm

I'm especially wondering about you, Michael Hansen! ;)

I finally broke down and just bought an AppleWatch. In short: I love it! Within an hour I was imagining how much I could use a play:Sub AW app.

Am also curious about what else might be in development by anyone. Can't find a thing mentioned anywhere online.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the interest in Watch support for play:Sub.
There has been very few requests for watch support until now, and not being a watch-person myself, I haven't had any plans for doing Watch-support any time soon.

If a lot of people find Watch-support interesting, I will definitely consider it sooner rather than later... and of course I'll have to get a Watch to play with myself ;-)
So iOS users: chime in on this thread or directly to me if you want Apple Watch support.

Cheers,
Michael.

Thanks for the reply, Michael. What you say is what I figured. OTOH, as I said, it wasn't long before I knew I would make great use of it. So I do wonder how there could not be others.

For music while driving I almost exclusively use play:Sub. Controlling it with the watch, if only for play/pause and skipping around, would be so much better than fumbling with the phone.

Get you one, Michael! Or get a wife like mine that helps you rationalize/acquire all sorts of stuff. I hadn't worn a watch in over 30 years and thought I had all the toys I could need. But she has kept after me for a year so I gave in and got one. Took less than an hour to know I would appreciate what it could do. Reminds me of how I resisted the iPhone for about a year then kicked myself for it once I had one.

Uh, never mind. Seems the the native Music app senses what Phone app is playing something and rolls that into it's "Now Playing" GUI.

Sorry for fuzziness. I'm not the quickest user and I was having issue trying to get it focused while the GUI was showing.
