Changing Tray Icon

I love Subsonic, I love the GUI, I don't like the subs. I already changed the favicon and I changed in C:\subsonic\jetty\webapp\icons the files subsonic_black.png and subsonic_white.png to something else.
That worked out.

In order to change the tray icon I changed the icons of C:\Program Files\Subsonic\subsonic-agent.exe and C:\Program Files\Subsonic\subsonic-service.exe
That did NOT work out.

Everything still works fine, but the tray icon is still the little clumsy sub.

Does anybody know how to sink the sub?

Thanks a lot for answering.

From what I can tell the subsonic-agent.exe icon is hard-coded to subsonic-16.ico. The only way I can see to change it would be to rebuild from source with a different icon.

However, you do not need to run subsonic-agent.exe for subsonic to work. It's the subsonic-service that does all the work. If you don't like the tray icon then just close it. Sub sunk.

I changed the hard-coded icon with icoFX. Checking the .exe with another wonderful app XN Resource Editor a colorful home made icon is shown. So it seems as if the icon should be displayed. But it isn't.

Question is: where is that sub hiding.... Well that's what they're supposed to do, don't they?

I am starting to like that clumsy sub.
