Browsing by Album / Genre Script With Symlink Question

Is there any way for a script to make a folder containing subfolder symlinks of albums or genres? If the script can parse the information from the tag database (the same one used for searching) there can be be a "Browse By Artist" and "Browse by Genre" folder in the folder lists. The script could run everyday - right after the search index is updated.

Just did a test using "junction" on an XP server. It works!. I am a little hesitant though because when deleting a symlink, the behavior can be erratic. I don't want to lose music, so I am experimenting building the ENTIRE folder system with symlinks in a separate location...

Junctions work well for folders (although they don't support the full unicode charset for some reason), hard links are an option for file links (on same drive). Deleting a hard link always keeps the original file.
