Hi All,

This is the first official release of a Youtube search script I've used/changed to fit (my) Subsonic needs.
It's using drag & drop technics and even contains a working playlist option.

Below you can find a screenshot and instructions on how to install this mod.

Screen:


BACKUP ALL FILES IN YOUR SUBSONIC FOLDER!

To install this mod your first need to stop the subsonic service.
Now you need to change one file.

Open the file "\subsonic\jetty\2361\webapp\WEB-INF\jsp\top.jsp"
In this file find:

Below that add:

        <a href="/youtube/index.html" target="main">Youtube</a>

Now you need to extract Youtube.rar in your \subsonic\jetty\2361\webapp\ folder.
If everything goes well it would not ask you to overwrite any files. If it does, please contact me.

Please start your subsonic service again, clean your temp. internet files and enjoy your new Youtube search.

I can use some feedback so please let me all know what you think of it. A couple of things I'm still working on are:

- In fullscreen the controls are not always working
- Drag & Drop needs a throw function IMO
- Users must be able to customize table sizes and table order to fit their own needs

I love this mod.

I'm trying to switch the Youtube Feed to show just "Official" "Music" videos. I've spent hours researching this and have landed http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/2.0/developers_guide_protocol_video_feeds.html

But none that I've tried have worked, it leaves the entire 50 random video section blank. What line in the index.html would one need to replace to get a category like Music, etc... instead of "Most Recent"?

Also I would like to switch from 3 videos wide to 2. Which section would one need to mod for that.

I have switched the background to black & the font's to white to match my theme as well. Along with the icon to closer match my theme. If you do not mind & others are interested I will happily share.

You can change the background & fonts to any color of your choosing by using http://drpeterjones.com/colorcalc/ and replacing the 6 digits of Hexadecimal above #000000 or #FFFFFF

I'm going to attach the index.html, which you can swap with the original (if you would like it removed Qbix) just let me know.
-Download Index.zip
-Unzip to \subsonic\jetty\2361\webapp\youtube\
-When prompted replace the original (make a backup of the original)
-Stop the Subsonic Control Panel Service
-Restart the Subsonic Control Panel Service
-Clear the browers cache'
-Log back in.

Is this one of those mods that's going to need frequent updates because of how YouTube will change their design often?

in original code u manualy set size of the icon in top.jsp with this code i post size of the icon is determen by the real size of the icon file u have in icon follder
