Same artist listed twice

Postby tberman333 » Tue May 22, 2007 6:57 pm

I have my music stored on different drives on on PC (because of the amount of music that I have). One drive stores Studio Albums and another has Live Music. The problem is, I may have folders for the same artist in both locations. For example, I have a live show by The Beatles and also have studio albums by The Beatles. In Subsonic, I have to set these up as separate music folders and when I do that, I get The Beatles listed twice in my Artist list.

Is there anyway to have Subsonic combine these into one so The Beatles is listed once, and when I choose it, it shows all the albums in shows from both folders?

Thanks!

Yeah, I hope to address this in a future release.

Thanks for mentioning it.

Sindre,

I know this is an old post, but I was just wondering if this issue is still in line to be fixed.

Thanks a bunch!

It's on my todo list, but it won't be fixed in the next release, I'm afraid.

I've analyzed it, and the solution seems to be surprisingly complex, which is why I haven't prioritized it yet.

Cheers, Sindre

Same question.... I know the post is omfg old, but just curious if any progress was made or if it was back-burnered for more pressing issues.

Thanks much!
