Thank you Sindre! (share your gratitude here)

Postby Tanner Williamson » Sat Mar 13, 2010 10:59 am

Sindre,

I think it's about time that there was an official thank you thread for everyone to post their gratitude for your time and dedication into this project. I know that it is a significant investment of your time into this. As much as I recognize that it is your passion, it is also a sacrifice as working on a project such as this can keep you busy from other things such as your full time occupation and family.

On behalf of the Subsonic user base, I'd like to thank you for this. Thank you for your open minded attitude to all suggestions. Thank you for your kindness and friendliness towards all new comers to your community and application(s). Thank you for your willingness to share what you've created, both literally and in spirit. Thank you for your humbleness and synergy; creating and working with user-contributed additions and 3rd party addons to your creation.

Thank you Sindre, and many thanks for everything you do, both in the software and in the spirit of this project and everything it stands for.

:)

Sincerely,
Tanner Williamson

Wow, that is certainly a big motivation to continue working on Subsonic!

I would also like to thank all you guys who provide such excellent feedback and suggestions for improvements and new features. And thanks to everyone who helps out other users here on the forum, and who share their mods and hacks. It's quite amazing: all the thousands of posts are almost without exception written in a polite and friendly tone!

Also I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who helps covering the running costs of the project by donating :-)

I would also like to thank you for this wonderful work!

I have a server that runs your software and experience very few issues. I don't think most people realize how complex these things can get as they snowball with more functionality. You have done an amazing job of providing functionality while keeping the code light.

Thanks again!!!!

Agreed - Subsonic is an outstanding piece of work. It's solid, easy to install & use, and has really improved our music-listening experience in general. Thanks & keep up the good work.

BTW a good way to show your appreciation is to obtain a license via a donation. :)

(Note: I am *not* a Sindre sockpuppet. :D )

Thanks Sindre for the awesome software. I have been using it for 2 days non-stop since I discovered it via the VortexBox www site.

I've donated for your hard work (and a license!!) :)

Finally my music is FREE as a bird!!!

Agree totally with all the user comments. I have been looking for a streaming server for a long time. Tried Darwin Streaming Server, mt-daap, ampache. Subsonic is the best of all..light weight and very user friendly. Best of all its open source.. Really an amazing guy Shindre... Kudos to you :)

My father and I have both purchased a license and are having playing each others collections and adding comments etc. My wife enjoys streaming to her Droid phone also. Thanks for a terrific app that was easy to setup and so much fun to use! Looking forward to see what the future has in store for Subsonic. :D

Subsonic is definitely the best in its class. I'd actually go so far to say it's one of the best open source apps I've ever used. Easy to install, easy to maintain, easy to update, frequent updates, tons of features, good GUI, reliable, good website, good documentation, etc.
