Isub failure

Postby charee99 » Sun May 09, 2010 3:40 am

I downloaded the isub app from itunes, but I'm unable to open it. I click, it opens up to a big Subsonic logo and then closes. Am I supposed to link it to my router as well? I can access the subsonic site just fine.

Up in arms,
CJ :x

I just bought the app and it is doing the same thing to me.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would happen?

Thanks in advance :D

**Update:
I emailed the developer and this was his reply:
This is a known bug that affects a very small percentage of devices. I finally isolated the issue last week, and I actually just submitted an emergency fix for it to the App Store last night. It takes a few days for Apple to review and accept updates though. I updated my app description to say that the update was in Apple's hands but the description probably didn't update yet when you purchased it. If I can ask your patience for just a couple days while the update goes through Apple's review process, you'll have a working copy as soon as the update posts. It will show up in the updates section in your App Store app on your phone. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry haven't been too active on the forums for a bit because I've been so busy coding the new iSub version 2.2, so I missed this post.

There is a 2.1.1 update that fixes this issue in Apple's hands right now still waiting for review. I submitted it Tuesday. Hopefully it will hit the App Store in the next couple days, but you never know with them...

I actually didn't even know about this problem until recently because it only affects 1 in 50 or more devices for some reason. If it would have crashed all devices I would have caught it right away. None of my test phones nor the simulator crashed, so I had no idea there was even a problem until I started getting emails and 1 star ratings :(

I wish there was a way to flag an update as important (i.e. bug fix, not just extra features) so they would look at it faster, but then I guess everyone would just flag all their updates as important and make the distinction meaningless if they did do that.
