Understood. Because I seldom fly, I don't have that issue.

I'm testing my player again i just upgraded to the latest player and I'll see if I have the same issues.

Edit: Me too. First track skips.

Same issue here as well. HTC Evo, stock ROM, unrooted. Android 2.2.

It's happened ever since I downloaded Subsonic over a month ago. I have contributed, because I think this is a powerful platform, but man, this is REALLY annoying!

Lately, I also notice that the second song is repeating as well.

Again - I love Subsonic - just would love some feedback on the status of this issue.

I'm sure that Sindre is doing everything he can to improve the platform and fix the bugs, but there's only so much one man can do. Besides putting out 3 revisions of the Android player in a short period of time, it appears that he is also working on integrating video playback into the platform.

I'm confident it's just a minor flaw in the code that he will fix.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying, but certainly not something to give up the player for.

I absolutely love being able to use this with blutooth in may vehicles. I'm connected to 3 servers, and it would take about 2 months of continuous listening 24/7 to hear all the tunes available!

I'm sure he's working hard, but perhaps fixing some common problems with the basic functionality should take precedence over adding features (widget, video, etc).

Goodness me, what was I thinking? You're absolutely right. I'm dumping this and going out to find something that does this better.

How stupid of me. Please forgive my ignorance.

What's that? ... You mean there's nothing else out there???

same problems here, htc incredible running 2.2 stock (not rooted)

i've also paid for the server and am very impressed with it, just annoyed with this bug. cache is 500 mb and bitrates are unlimited. i typically select the entire album and hit play.

There's no doubt that Subsonic has its quirks and more than a few bugs left, but if you think this is bad, try Twonky Media if you really want to pull your hair out. For streaming over internet back to a server at home, this is the best I've found so far.

So we shouldn't be trying to make Subsonic better? Because it is the only option it is good enough? I don't understand what point you're making.

No, I just think your expectations are a bit unrealistic.

Like so many things...when they 'just work', they seem bulletproof. When a pesky issue crops up, suddenly it's 'buggy'. I tend to agree that basic functionality across the iPhone/Android sets should be priority, and even that is a challenge with the disparity in units, OS versions, and firmware being used. For those that have bulletproof installs, naturally they want features...it's a developer conflict older than I am: 'it is what it is". :)

I'd like to know why the "quote" feature isn't working for me on the forums. Annoying, but definitely won't stop me from posting.

Truly annoying. That's it, I'm done posting. I'll take my forum participation to a site that works!

AHA! You have BBCode disabled in your profile settings, I suspect. When I went to edit your post, I noticed BBCode was disabled for yours, but not mine. :)
edit: unchecked 'Disable BBCode' on that post, and 'whallah'...
