Is there a quick way to remove underscores?

A large fraction of my library has underscores in place of spaces. They are only present in the folder and file names. They are not in the tags.

I can guess at two solutions:
-feature to auto-replace '_' with a space
-the ability to sort the library by artist tags

Maybe someone knows about file renamer, that doesn't change modified time on files? Because I normally list mp3's (at home) by modified date, so I see newly added, and if times are changed, then I loose this ability.
