ranom play entire library?

Postby matildaleon » Wed Feb 02, 2011 10:45 pm

Hello,

1st - thanks for making Subsonic...I started using it a couple days ago & love it already!! THANKS!!

Now I have two questions that I've searched for in the instructions & forums, but I can't find an answer....can someone please help me?

Q#1 - I currently have 35,950 songs that Subsonic if handling on my computer...and they are arranged in the Artist Folder / Album Folder / 1,2,3...song format.
What I want to know is if there is a way to make Subsonic on Windows XP/7 just start randomly playing any/all of the 35,950 songs?...without making a huge playlist that includes everything?? I'm looking for the 1 button that you push that just starts randomly playing everythign in the library.

Q#2 - Same question, but on my Android phone......looking for 1 button to just randomly play everything?

Thanks!
Greg.

Q1 - No

It has been requested several times, but as yet has not been implemented.

Q2 - Yes, just select "Shuffle Play" from the openning screen.

Q#1 - ok thanks. Sorry for asking again, but i just couldn't find it anywhere....I hope this feature is implemented soon!

Q#2 - thanks again. I thought the shuffle button there was just for current songs in the queue...but i pressed it while the queue was empty & it started randomly grabbing songs.....perfect!

Ok - thanks again!

Shuffle for the current que is accessed by bringing up the list on the player and selecting the "menu" button on the phone. It will display "Shuffle", "Save Playlist" and "Remove all." You can also access more options by doing a long press on any individual track on the list.

Q#1 -> +1 (would be a great feature!)

After the encryption this is the last feature I'm really missing.
