Hi Thanks for the new HTTPS feature
I have enabled it and it is working however browsers now complain of an invalid or out of date certificate.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
I am using the standard Subsonic 4.4b1 install.

The Certificate uses by subsonic is not signed by a certificate authority which is accepted by your browser. You`ll have to get a new certificate from a certified CA. http://www.startssl.com/ offers free SSL Certificates which are accept by most browsers, but they are only valid for one year.

Thanks for your help so far weelkin.
I have looked in my server (linux Ubuntu) and I cannot find where to install the certificate any help would be appreciated !

You' ll find a howto here:

but be sure to have the latest beta installed.With the latest stable you'll have to use a tomcat webserver or an apache proxy. Try to search the forums here, there are some howtos on that too.

Try this site http://www.xnynz.com/ to get the SSL certificate and also get the hosting,domain name register, domain appraisal, online file folder, ssl certificate etc.....

You could also create a self-signed certificate, it really depends how you want to use it, if it's just to prevent mitm attacks it shouldn't be any problem, I've been looking into this due to new laws in the netherlands which can only be looked after by putting taps on every internet connection so I'm planning on tunneling every subsonic connection.

ssl really provides what I need here!
