Can't Play Full Tracks, skips songs

Hi all,

I have a niggling problem whereby subsonic won't play full songs. It plays close to 2 minutes and then skips to the next song, or skips a few songs and finds one later in the list and plays close to 2 minutes of that. I'm accessing via isub, it was all set up yesterday so I don't think I'm out with any trial period etc.

My server is a headless Debian squeeze install on tonidoplug2, the proem occurs on two different clients, iPad and iPhone, and happens on my home network and via remote 3G. I've upped the java max memory o 512mb but this doesn't help.

Any assistance with this would be great as I'm really pleased with the service other than this.

DO you only experience the problem with iSub? Does the webplayer work?

Are you transcoding to mp3?

What do your logs say?

Are you using version 4.6? What host OS?

There appears to be a bug in ver. 4.6 that occurs when trancoding. I use mp3>ogg to minimize bandwidth when I'm on the road, but it doesn't work in 4.6. I dropped back to 4.5 on one of my servers so I could get it to work. Sindre is aware of the issue and hopes to have it fixed in the next version.
