Windows 8 APP

Postby trickydick » Wed Jul 18, 2012 3:51 pm

I haven't been on this forum in a long tme. I've been very busy with family, but i'm finding more time now...

Has anyone thought of building a Windows 8 app? It basically runs on Javascripts and html. I was thinking of building one using tsquillario MinSub (https://github.com/tsquillario/MiniSub). I currently use his as an 'app' shortcut on the metro startmenu which opens Internet explorer in kiosk mode. (iexplorer.exe -k).

I have the developement kit (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/br229516.aspx) installed and hopefully i have the time to build it...of course I will ask tsquillario if i could use his code

Any thoughts?

I've not heard any mention of it, I guessed partly because existing app's should work anyway and also partly because windows 8 is expected to be a major failure and a lot of dev's I know are not giving it any time.
