Thanks for the updates!!

I was wondering though, do you know if there is a way to update the included version in subsonic from a previous version? Or is this something will will be at the mercy of sindre to take care of?

Thanks again!

Yea, at the last minute I suggested pulling MiniSub from being packaged with Subsonic for this very reason. Sindre decided to keep it. This is the result.

You can either download the latest code from GitHub and place it in another directory on your Jetty/Tomcat server or use the Chrome App...

Hi, I've been using the Chrome App version and it's been great. I was never a fan of the web UI.

I use an old Macbook Air, and RAM is something that can be wasted (it only has 2 GB, not upgradeable). That's why I don't use Chrome as my regular browser, and I use Safari 6 instead. Also, Chrome in Mac OS X does not allow to create app shortcuts. However, when I try to use the MiniPlayer in Safari (and also as a Fluid App), everything seems to be fine, but I have this weird behaviour: playing stops after every track, so I'm forced to look and click for the next song to play.

I would love to use the MiniPlayer as a Fluid app or in a Safari tab, as it does use a lot less memory and it's less stressful for the CPU (so no fan noise).

Any thoughts?

2GB isn't enough to run Chrome on OSX? Get a real computer, lol. The non-Apple kind.

I tested it a few times on Safari and it worked, not sure if I made it to the next song change. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Don't worry, as soon as I have some cash available, I will upgrade...to a newer MacBook Air :D

Thanks! It actually works quite well except for this. Please note I'm using Safari 6 on Mountain Lion.

I tested with Safari 5.1.7 on Lion and it played some songs fine and others it wouldn't play at all. It really comes down to Safari's HTML5 audio implementation.

I enabled the "Force Flash" option and with Flash installed everything was playing great.

Anyone that wants to join the beta for the Chrome App join the MiniSubBeta Google Group.
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/minisubbeta

Just released into the Beta app! I see having both of them installed, 2 separate Apps. Let me know if you can't see MiniSub (Beta) in the Chrome Web Store.

10/7/2012 - 2.1.2
- Current Playlist will stay focused on the current track (Thanks Concept211)
- Option to save track position & the Current Playlist automatically, will persist on a browser refresh/close
- Added Autopilot feature to start playing random songs with one click, this will continue to load more songs
- Made it easier to skip to a certain position in the current song (Hover over the progress bar)
- Tab change fades in for a little eye candy
- Volume controls! Use the plus (=/+) and minus (-/_) keys
