Also, I'd really love the ability to force Subsonic to rescan the directory on my PC from the app for when I remotely add music to my collection.

Either way, thanks for Subsonic! I may just have to donate again.

I second this too. If these features are implemented in the official release of subsonic, I give my 5$ right away.

Just read through this entire thing. I haven't donated in a long while which I just fixed. Subsonic has become a part of my regular everyday life. Thanks for all the hard work!

I have been thinking of re-donating for a long time now and just did. It´s not much but I hope it will pile up and make you carry on.
Love Subsonic and I know it will just get better.

Unfortunately I still cannot use Subsonic every day because it does not play well with others. I use Google Navigation (and sometimes CoPilot Live) a lot and Subsonic still does not pause when the navigation is speaking. So I am forced to use Google Music or PowerAmp when I need navigation.

I really wish I could use just one app and be done with it.... :(

I noticed this yesterday when I was driving home... Can we please get this fixed?

Why not both optional?

HI,

I really like subsonic, mostly so I can stream to my phone in the car, so I don't mind paying for the Android App, but whenever I try to do the ad removal I get the following:

"A problem occurred while communicating with Google servers. Please try again later."

Obviously I figured Google had an issue, so I waited a few weeks, but I am still getting the same problem. I've tried this on 3G/4G and wifi - same problem. So is this really Google or the app.

Thanks.

PS - if I manually install the adfree apk, will I have to manually do all the upgrades?

I put out the largest donation possible when I donated last never thinking I would have to deal with this on the client side, but nonetheless apology accepted. I don't really like the idea of not auto updating which is another strategy to eventually get me to pay. But, this is a great effort to calm those of us loyal users and for that I am greatly appreciative. I have installed the ad free for now and may do the paid later to fix the auto updates, sigh.

One thing that has me a little bent on top of the ads is that I have to set all my servers and settings back up every time I install it. Can't we just upload a settings file to google (google sync backup) and be done with it? My settings are pretty complex and it takes me a while to get them figured out again with the different servers and non-standard ports. I bought a new phone 3 weeks ago and had to do it all over then too. Most apps have this feature (even my simple grocery list app) so I would think it could be done pretty easy. Thanks for the work on this app and your willingness to fix this ad problem.

Oh snap really? that's funny since I could have sworn the Subsonic volume drops when Google Nav yells at me for making a wrong turn... I'll have to pay closer attention. Maybe I'm thinking of when I get a call or a notification.

i dont mind the ads, except for the one ad that somehow expands itself and becomes about a two inch square. i imagine its automatically shown through whatever ad service sindre is using but if it would be possible to have the ad service limit the size that would be swell.

Why can't the subsonic client in google play just check to see if it's connected to a paid server to determine whether or not to display ads? Seems like a simple fix. I don't like having another branch outside of google play just to keep ads away. It should be one app where paid users get what they pay for meanwhile the freebie users get ads.
