Reading VBR Files

Postby pantos27 » Sat Dec 01, 2012 4:50 pm

Is it possible that the Subsonic DB does not hold any VBR files that are in my music folders?

I have a large collection of songs (about 20,000) and about half of them are VBR files.
And no matter how many times I rescan the folders the number of total songs in the DB remain at about 8,000.

I tried looking for some VBR files and notice that their folder appears in the left browsing pane but the album is empty of any files\songs.

Follow the procedure outlined in this thread to ensure the database is functioning properly.

If you're still not seeing files that you know are there, check the file extensions and make sure that they are listed in the music files extension definitions under Settings/General. If you add a file type, then rescan the database.

Also remember that everything works best when files are in folders under the defined root in the Media folders list.
