Hi I'm trying to install this but constantly get errors..

I really like the look of this, but guttted I cant get it to work.

when i click install i get this(details) :-

Hi this may be the browser your using, in order to install you need to use Internet explorer and it needs to be able to run click once installers.

I must be missing something, but I no longer see a way to set my Last.FM user/pass. I see the switch and regardless of if it's enabled or disabled, I still get no where to put in credentials (and I hadn't previously entered them).

Also, I'm experiencing some issues with certain MP3s stuttering toward the end of the song. It doesn't happen with all files, just an album here and there. I assume it has to do with how they're encoded, but was wondering if you had run in to that issue? I think I'm just going to blanket re encode them with a standard LAME vbr and see if that helps.

As for the credentials for last.fm these are set in the subsonic settings SubWiji cannot set these, the check box will simply try to tell subsonic server to send to last.fm.
Yes sometimes I have had issues with encoding which is why I recommend the transcodes setup in my signature below, if you need help setting this please feel free to email me.
If you have this set then I don't know any way to fix other than as you say re-encoding

Mr funk note this setting below....

"This is due to a setting in IE that gets set when you install SP2. Go to Internet Options > Security > Select Internet Zone > Click Custom Level button. About 3/4 of the way down there is an option called "Open Files based on content, not file extension", which is Enabled. Disable this option and you will be able to launch the ClickOnce app."

This may enable you to install SubWiji and from there it will update outside of he browser.

I'm running Subwiji on Windows 8 - and sometime when I play a track, its plays to fast (hope that Makes sense).

If I play the same track in Subsonic directly (Web Interface), its fine.

Any Suggestions?

Unfortunately, the built-in keyboard shortcuts -- for me -- are a bit too 'generic' to work well as global hotkeys. Especially ALT+P is used in quite a few other applications I use. So user-definable keys, or at least modifiers (ALT, SHIFT, CTRL, WIN), are much desirable for me! Would it be possible to add these (through interface or config file)?

Hi,

This looks like an incredible app.
But i too am having problems installing. I have tried with both chrome and IE.
I am able to download setup.exe but after launching it it says:
"Cannot download application. The application is missing required files...."

I have tried 4 time, running it with Admin privileges and in Win7 compat. mode.

I am on a Win8 Pro machine and i am local Admin.

EDIT: Got it working:

I had to manually create the Subwiji.appliacation - file.

I've just pushed an update that let's you customise both the modifier (alt, ctrl or shift) and the shortcut keys themselves.
Give it a try and let me know if you have any issues.

Many thanks. I tried testing this, but Subwiji's main window won't appear when I run Subwiji.

When I start Subwiji from the desktop shortcut, the playlist window appears, but nothing else. When I started it from the installer, the release notes/about/intro video window appeared, but also no main window.

If I recall correctly, I had the "auto hide" option set, but I cannot verify this in the .config file (if I've got the right file that is, because I'm seeing several Subwiji program folders that are all tucked away somewhere in AppData). I'm using Windows 7 x64, with dual monitor setup.

If you could screenshot or video it for me that would help, for now ive pushed an update which should ignore the Auto Hide functionality.
Ive turned this of since it seems that it doesnt work properly, if you can give me all your settings i can try and replicate this side (even which monitor your running it on top/bottom and if its primary or not).

Another note maybe you are unaware, to get the "auto-hide" to show the bar you must move your mouse to over the top of the screen then a circle loader shows and after thats done it shows the window?
