Hi-

even before today's update that I got, I have had a problem (that persists even after update) in the time displaying for track length on now playing bar.
I play a 5:00 song and it'll show wild values like 463:46:38 then jump to 60:42:34 or whatever, then back to 0:00:00 and it keeps wildly jumping around showing random values. Track plays fine but makes it impossible to use the seek bar or jump to a particular time.

Is there a certain point that it started being a problem? ie, two updates ago, forever, etc...

Wait, you said track length. Do you mean track length or track position? Or in other words, the number of the left or the number on the right?

Hi I'm using 3.8.2 and my eq is not working at all on my Note 2. It shows up and I can turn it on and off (no effect) and I have the presets but they do nothing at all. I tried using the eq in both my car with Bluetooth and with my headphones but neither work. The EQ in the subsonic app works but not dsub. I uninstalled subsonic but that did not help.
My Note 2 has 4.1.1 and I'm using Beans ROM 12.
any idea's ?
Thanks, Tony

Number on the right is correct, number on the left is wildly crazy and changes every second or two.

He said he removed the eq as an attempt to add support for third party eq apps.

Actually, I made it so it's not started until it's actually being used. I just pulled it up and it works fine on my phone still so I'm not sure what is going on with that.

I apologize if this has been brought up already, but searching within this topic did not help me find the answers. Why, if you give away Dsub here on the forum, do you charge $1.99 on the Play store?

Also, sometimes, when I have not even used dsub nor is it "on", I turn on my Bluetooth stereo in my car and it begins playing the last played song, which happens to be a song that was downloaded to my phone...

Which brings me to my next question, I keep getting "A network error occurred" on the Android app. I have already rebooted my router and laptop, both of which I doubted would be the issue and still no luck. I've already looked on the forums for help on this and found nothing that would work

Any suggestions?

Thank you

He works really, really hard on development. $2.00 is hardly unreasonable to ask someone to pay, particularly if they can't be bothered to track down the forums and figure out the fact that it can, in fact, be attained for free.

Also, distribution through Play isn't easy, let alone cheap.

I'm not trying to be a jerk - just throwing out my $0.02.

And I wasn't trying to be a cheap bastard. I was just curious. Didn't realize it costs money (other than a % stake) to post on Play

Can you help with my other questions?

Thank you

Yeah, I think you missed the drift of the question. Somercamb was asking, why with all the hard work and such a great app, would it be given away in the forum. He wasn't complaining about price at all. I think it is for people who don't have Play in their country or payment options to be able to get as well as for people to test the app out prior to committing to buy. 15 minutes kind of sucks to test something like that.

As to the other questions: Android sucks like that- always wanting to play stuff automatically. No idea how to stop that- some apps have settings but it drives me batty too.

For the Network Error: Does the demo server work? Can you access your own server from the Subsonic App?

I guess I both charge and give it away for free because it is open source, and cheap people are going to pirate it anyways. I figure if people aren't going to pay they aren't going to pay anyways, and I also figure that most people are going to pay simply because always having to check if there is an update available sucks. Most people would rather just have it all go through the one store. And then there is the cost of distribution, time it takes to officially distribute it and support it, etc... Or to put it another way, I wouldn't put in nearly as much effort if I wasn't getting some money in from the Play store ;)

"I turn on my Bluetooth stereo in my car and it begins playing the last played song"
Some stereo units like to send a play signal as soon as they are turned on. As far as I am aware there is no way to tell these apart from regular play signals sent by you on purpose :(

"A network error occurred"
The app literally just asks for a connection to your server. Like tmwsiy said, does the demo server work. It is almost always a problem with your router setup if you can't connect via mobile phones. If you tried to open it in the browser (on your phone) you should have the same issue.

Yes, tmwsiy, you are correct in my question re: the Play store. I apologize for not be clearer, but thank you for clarifying on my behalf. And daneren2005 and tmwsiy, the demo server works fine as well as my friend's server to which I have access.I rebooted the router (and modem), but no such luck. :(
