How to get Random Page to stop showing movies

The random page I'm talking about is when you first login to your server and it displays a number of random items with coverart.
(Click "Home" and then click "Random" on the bottom left)

I thought this only showed music back in 4.6, but ever since 4.7 my video directories are getting included in this and since videos don't have embeddable cover art, it makes the random page look like it's missing cover art when it shows my video directories. Is there an option for what to include in the random listing?

Hehe, yes.. indeed I did..

I remember once before that this wasn't a problem.. only since the new build (4.7) do I remember having this issue

well, I just upgraded to 4.8 from 4.6 and in both versions, the RANDOM shows all content (in both versions) even though I have a separate folder for music and videos. Go figure...

This has been an issue forevvvvver.

It just doesn't make sense that the main window would display folders that are not the currently selected folder in the left column.

If you select movies then everything in the main browser window should only display movies. If you select music then only music should show.

If you want to see everything then that's what "All Folders" should be for.

Not rocket science, but not likely to get fixed either.

Or maybe have it something to change in settings, and not necessarily tied into the left column

Or maybe tie it to something on the Sports page of your local newspaper ...

Doesn't matter - the dev isn't listening anymore.
