shuffle play on android phone broken

Postby Moe100001 » Mon Jul 15, 2013 11:42 pm

Hi,

I recently did a major update to my library. I rescanned my music folder on my pc and got subsonic working fine there. My phone connects to the server fine, I can browse to a song on the library screen and play it fine. However, if I choose shuffle play from the home screen, the app will find a song, display title, but the download stays at zero and it will not play the song. If I skip songs it just does the same thing.
I tried deleting the cache and then all the app data, re-entered my server info, but it is still doing the same thing. Everything was working before I updated my library. I used mediamonkey to organize my library and made changes to the file names and tags as part of my update. I suspect it has something to do with that, but at this point am out of ideas how to figure out what I broke to make it behave like this.
Also, as part of troubleshooting this I updated to the latest server version (4.8).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,

- M

Do a db cleanup from the server settings. It might just be trying to play a song it doesn't realize doesn't exist (at least not where it thinks it was) anymore

thanks, did that. I also just uninstalled the server and deleted the c:\subsonic directory, then re-installed and configured. Still the same thing happening. I see this error generated in the log each time I skip forward:

Code: Select all

To be thorough, here is the entire error message from the log. Also, I have updated both my server and android app (I have the premium version) to the latest, as I uninstalled and re-installed both. The server is running on windows 7. Please just let me know if you need any more info from me. I have really enjoyed this program and have not found any viable alternatives to streaming lossless to my phone. I gotta get this working!!

Thank you, thank you!
