Looks like you can submit patches here: http://sourceforge.net/p/subsonic/patches/
Please submit it, cuz the navigation volume is supper annoying and your fix works great!

Well, I submitted the patch to the site. We'll see if Sindre notices it.

Thanks a lot - I'll review the changes and include the patch.

Well, since the patch didn't make it into the official new version 3.9 that popped up on Google Play a couple of days ago, here is a new up-to-date build based on the latest source code.

EDIT: deleted attachment because of newer version.

Thanks rage4order! I haven't tried it yet, but if this works you will be my hero. I have a Note3, and this has been killing me.

1) I work in hospitals a lot where there is no service, and every single time I go from no service to service, Subsonic puts itself into the notification tray again
2) Every time I go near a bluetooth device I'm paired with, even if local media or Spotify is already playing, it'll force itself to play right on top of them

Trying it now...

Should work fine. I tested it on my new Nexus 5 running Kit Kat 4.4, and on a Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean 4.3.

I didn't get a chance to test it- instead I ran the actual update that just came out, and it seems to be fixed.

Can anybody else confirm?

I should mention that my fix also adds "audio ducking" so that if you're listening to Subsonic while using Google Maps navigation, the music playback volume will automatically turn down while the navigation directions are being spoken, and then turn back up to full once Subsonic regains exclusive audio focus.
