Subsonic 4.9 released

Thanks for the update. The new fonts make the web player look a bit more modern and the ability to see the artists for each track is a HUGE improvement.

Problem: Instead of displaying album covers in rows of five, SS is showing 40 covers in three columns. Tried restarting and rescanning but this persists. How do I fix it?

OK, nevermind. If I eliminate the greeting message I had on the home page, the albums spread five-across.

Play Last

Well no, it add the song to the end of the playlist, so instead of just clicking on Play (what I did everytime), in need to click on Clear, Play Last, and then Play... Rather painful. I agree that a togglable switch in the personal profil would be awesome.

OK, nevermind. If I eliminate the greeting message I had on the home page, the albums spread five-across.

Thanks for the tip mine was showing 2 columns eliminated the welcome message & now shows 4 looks much better

Don't know if this is considered a bug or not but......

playlist shows in list as updated or added:

alphabetical would be preferred,

drop down menu would also be nice instead of long list to scroll

if it matters there are about 1500 playlists in folder

when it completes it unzips just files not in folder

it used to unzip with folder so files would be be in folder with folder.jpg complete although it would leave out 1st letter of folder name, but that wasn't really an issue to change


now I have to create folder & download folder.jpg separately, then unzip download into that folder

Could you add an option to remove tracks from the queue after they are played? If not, it would be nice if the song queue window would scroll to show the current track being played.
It would be nice if you could adjust the size of the play queue window as well.

I've encoutered similar problem with downloading albums with the 4.9 version of subsonic : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14091#p61612
I don't know if it is a bug or not, but it is a problem for one of my user who is using Subsonic with a Mac OS X and who is downloading quite often albums from my instance. Is there a turnaround, or something ?

Does it still uses flash as webplayer?
Without admin rights it is impossible to install the player and use subsonic at work

I'm getting an error in Subsonic where it won't transcode a FLAC to MP3. The only output in the log I get is:

My transcode code command is:

ffmpeg -i %s -ab %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -

I ran the FLAC file through ffmpeg on the server and it is processed correctly. Any ideas what is going on?
