Stop FLAC transcoding for a single user/player

I have a Subsonic server which I use to share my collection of mostly FLAC files with friends and family.

Since it's also the primary way I listen to my collection, I'm wondering if there's a way to stop transcoding the FLAC files for myself only. I'd like to listen to my collection in lossless quality, especially when I'm just streaming to another computer in my home over the LAN.

I figured out how to stop transcoding for EVERYONE (by removing flac from the list of extensions in Settings -> Transcoding), but that also breaks Subsonic for anyone that isn't using an external player with the web interface...including anyone using the iPhone or Android apps.

If anyone has any idea if this is possible and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd appreciate it.
