Connection Issues

Postby tyger » Mon Sep 29, 2014 1:39 pm

Having a very weird issue when trying to connect with Android apps and Periscope player.
Getting the error "Connection failure. length=26; regionStart=0; regionLenth=-1"
This is happening with both the subsonic app and the ultrasonic apps for android and with Periscope player on the desktop.
Access to the server is confirmed through my internal network. I disabled the access ports on my router, tried to access via a laptop and was unable to get on.
I re-enabled the ports and was able to get on.
I accessed a remote PC and tried to go to my server, and it redirects to the subsonic.org website.
Is there an issue going on with the domain?
I did a whois lookup on the domain and it looks like there was an update to it on the 27th.

Domain Name:SUBSONIC.ORG
Updated Date: 2014-09-27T01:21:47Z
Registry Expiry Date: 2015-09-26T10:44:03Z

Would appreciate any help anyone can give.

***UPDATE***
Further testing via remote desktop. Still no access via the browser using the domain, but when I put in the IP of my server, it brings up the login and I'm able to get in. Pretty sure this is a DNS issue with subsonic.org.

Is anyone else having this issue?

***Final Update***

I'm a fool, somehow managed to change my settings>network denying access over the internet. Thanks Sindre!

Thanks.

I am having the same issue. I had subsonic version 4.8 installed on computer but the android app was update to date. This Error length=26; regionStart=0; regionLenth=-1 started appearing today. I thought maybe I needed install subsonic version 5.0 that this would fix the problem, but after installing, rebooting computer and phone, I am still getting the same error.

I have 2 different android phones, both worked with this app yesterday, both do not work with this app today! Thanks, Joe
